    Fantastic vehicle. It looks like it has been built using parts from many other vehicles, sort of a frankenstien monster but very impressive. I’d love to be able to see that up close.

      There’s something spooky about massive machines like this when they’re just left to decay… And yes, it’s somewhere between a ship and an aeroplane, technically a ground-effect vehicle.

        Yes, I have a great book ‘the desert boneyard’ about US military aircraft that have been stored in Arizona (I think, from memory) and stored ready for re-use or for stripping for parts to keep other aircraft in operation. Some of the pictures in that of WW2 bombers or Vietnam era jets in partially stripped states are very spooky but fascinating. What is even more amazing is the aerial photos of literally hundreds of huge bombers massed in formation in the desert and then the very sad pictures of them being cut up for scrap.
